Aaron Friedrich: Sound Designer; Sound Board Operator
My name is Aaron Friedrich I am 16 years old and the oldest of 4 siblings. My Interests include listening to lots of music and lots of different kinds of music, Boffering (foam sword fighting). although this is my first time working with TYA backstage I’m Totally Stoked about doing it! I am the sound designer and board operator.
Amelia Grose: Costume/Hair & Make-up Assistant
My name is Amelia Grose and I’m 11 years old. I have a brother named Andrew and a sister named Olivia. I’ve never been in TYA before, I like to make projects and I love birds. I can’t wait to see The Shock of His Life in action! I am the costume/hair & make-up assistant.
Andrew Grose: Co-Stage Director
My name is Andrew Grose, 13. I have been with TYA for three seasons (in five plays). My interests include spelling, percussion, jazz, French cooking, and political science. I am currently interested in a career in law. I am enjoying my experience with the Shock of his Life. I am a co-stage director.
Kade Byrand: Set & Props Assistant; Lighting Assistant
Hi, my name is Kade. I’m 10 years old. I go to Grant School I’m in fifth grade. I have no siblings, but I have 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, a cat, and some fish. I love science, and my dad is a geographer so I love geography too. I like soccer. I love playing computer games a lot. My favorites are the following: The Sims, SimCity, and my most favorite is Spore. My favorite T.V. show is a British show called Doctor Who. This is my first time in the crew, but I played the sarcastic Lamb in TYA’s Charlotte’s Web. I am the lighting assistant, and set assistant in The Shock of His Life.
Matt Matysik : Set & Props Designer
My name is Matt Matysik. I am the set designer. I am Thirteen years old. I have been in five TYA shows and I was the music director for the summer show Hey Ho Pinocchio. I am inspired by Walt Disney. On my birthday, when I was two, I had to get stitches because I ran into a metal slide at a Park.
Smith Huber: Lighting Designer; Light Board Operator
Hi, my name is Smith Huber. I am 12 years old, in 6th grade at Horace Mann Middle School. I enjoy theatre, and I’ve been in 4 TYA productions 3 of acting and 1 of lighting op. I like penguins, and playing ping-pong, and swimming. I am the lighting designer for The Shock of His Life.
Tanner Moenning: Co-Stage Director; Stage Manager
My name is Tanner Moenning. I am twelve years old. I have been in fourteen TYA. I was an assistant choreographer for last summer’s musical Hey Ho Pinocchio.
I like to sing, dance, and act. I love chicken and blue. I hope to see that Shock of His Life spells T-E-R-R-I-F-I-C! I am a co-stage director.
Zia Harriott: Director-In-Training; Costume/Hair & Make-up Designer
Hi, my name is Annastazia Harriott (please call me Zia). I am 12 years old and the youngest student in 7th grade. I have three older half-siblings and I was born in Negril, Jamaica. I play tennis, soccer, horseback riding, dance, ski, ballet, I enjoy singing in choir, and I love music. I am so excited to see my assistant, Amelia Grose’s, and my costumes come to life in TYA’s production Shock of His Life. I am the costume/hair & make-up designer.
