JOIN RISING STARS THEATER
EXPLORERS!
Youth (grades 3-12) can
join Rising Stars Theater Explorers. Make friends,
have fun and explore the wonderful world of theater onstage, backstage
or out
front. Participate
in field trips, workshops,
and social events. Children
under 11
years must be accompanied by an adult.
Rising
Stars SHINE as
Ambassdors! Have
fun as puppeteers and
face painters at area events, workshop assistants, tour guides, ushers,
refreshment sellers, pop-in characters at schools, and presenters at
service
clubs.
Rising
Stars ROCK as
Techies!
Learn new skills while working
behind the scenes. Build
and paint
flats, sew costumes, hang lights and more!
Help run the shows.
You might
call cues, move scenery, run sound, and work the follow spot.
Rising
Stars SPARKLE as
Actors! Attend
workshops like How To
Audition, Musical Comedy Theater and Acting with an Accent. Register for the summer
playground tour or a
reader’s theater show.
Rising
Stars GROW as Leaders!
As members gain
skill and proficiency, TYA welcomes & challenges teens who have
special
interests in set construction, scenic painting, sound, lighting,
costumes,
make-up, hospitality, stage management, directing, music, and
choreography. Talk
to us about apprenticeships.
Stars are awarded to
participants for their involvement.
Members are recognized at our annual awards
party.
