COVID-19 Mitigation Measures for TYA Rehearsals and Shows*

  • In alignment with the CDC stance that vaccination is currently the leading public health prevention strategy, TYA production staff have been vaccinated.

Facial Coverings/Masks

  • Masks are optional for participants during rehearsals based on the youth’s level of comfort.

  • Masking is highly encouraged for non-vaccinated adults coming into the TYA rehearsal space.

Symptomatic Individuals

  • Youth should stay home if they are ill. If an individual has a fever in combination with other COVID-19 symptoms they would need to remain at home and be fever free for at least 24 hours and have improved symptom conditions before returning. COVID-19 testing is recommended for unvaccinated individuals.

  • If there are siblings in the performance and one child has tested positive we request that both children stay home until the household is fever-free for at least 24 hours and symptoms are no longer present.

  • View or Print a Daily Screening document for use at home (from the Sheboygan Area School District)

Quarantine Notification – If a cast member needs to quarantine

  • Notification of potential exposure will be sent to parents.

  • Parent member will be asked to monitor for any symptoms for a period of 14 days.

  • View Isolation and Quarantine Guidelines from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services

Cleaning and Handwashing Protocols

  • Bathrooms and commonly touched surfaces will be sanitized between rehearsals.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance for use when arriving and leaving.

  • Fans will be utilized for airflow

  • Rehearsal space is furnished with an air sanitizer.

*Please note, these mitigation measures are adopted from the Sheboygan Area School District and may change or be updated as new information becomes available on COVID-19 in our community and from the CDC. If deemed necessary by the TYA production team and TYA Board of Directors, rehearsals may be suspended and the production may be cancelled.
