Mission

TYA's mission is to educate children about themselves and the world around them through theater by exposing young audiences to award-winning dramatic literature, various cultures, pertinent social issues, historical periods, and theatrical styles, while offering children, teens, and adults the opportunity to learn and practice the art and craft of theater.

Outreach

TYA is "THE PLACE WHERE ALL AGE EXPLORE THE THEATER ARTS." Our theater productions are laboratories where youth and adults hone and learn new skills while working on stage, out front, and behind the scenes. Whether one is learning to deliver a line, sew a French seam, focus a lighting instrument, or build a flat, TYA"s stage production drama club workshops, classes and special events provide wonderful opportunities for families to explore the theater arts.

Funding

TYA is a 501.C3 Organization dependent on contributions from foundations, corporate and private donors along with fund-raising events and activities for 1/2 of its operating budget. The remaining 1/2 is covered by ticket revenue and ad sales.
